Meeting Facilities

DuBose is ideal for conferences, meetings and seminars that need both large gathering spaces and small meeting rooms for small-group discussions. We have indoor meeting rooms, indoor and outdoor worship spaces and other outdoor gathering spaces.  We are happy to make these rooms available and set them up for your use as part of planning your event, and we have A/V equipment available as well for no additional charge. But when the weather is nice, some small groups may be drawn outside to our balcony porches or flower garden instead.  

 

Indoor Meeting Rooms

Classrooms:

Perfect for small groups of 18 or fewer, Claiborne Hall has five first-floor classrooms available, equipped with chairs, tables and dry-erase boards. Each classrooms is 15' x 25' (375 sq. ft)

Barth Room:

This cozy space in Claiborne Hall is like our family room, with comfy chairs and a big sofa, a working fireplace and a great setting for conversation. 20' x 36' (720 sq. ft.)

Pell Library:

The Pell Library is a perfect size for mid-sized group meetings and receptions. 36' x 32' (1152 sq. ft.)

Upper Room:

This inviting space in can hold as many as 125 people and has a small stage area. 50' x 35' (1750 sq. ft.)

Chapel:

This large modern chapel can seat 150 people comfortably (200 standing) and has excellent acoustics. It is frequently used as a multi-purpose room and sound amplification is available.  60' x 32' (1920 sq. ft.)

Worship Spaces

 

St. Andrew's Chapel: 

This intimate, historic chapel has been lovingly restored and is a perfect setting for quiet devotionals, Morning Prayer, Compline, Evening Prayer or meditation.  14' x 32'

 

 

The Chapel:

As a worship space, the large chapel offers a permanent altar table, soaring ceilings with tall windows. The baby grand piano is complemented by the excellent acoustics in the room.

Outdoor Spaces


 

Outdoor worship area:

First constructed by Camp Gailor-Maxon campers in 1976, the outdoor worship area features a stone altar and bench seating, surrounded by trees.

 

 

 


 

The Charles Crump Pavilion:

Our large pavilion can accommodate 250 seats and is a perfect space for outdoor music events, large worship services, dances or performances.

 

 

 

 

There are also rocking chairs on the Lobby Terrace and on the Second Floor Claiborne Porch where some smaller groups prefer to meet in nice weather.

 

In addition, we have a Bonfire Circle we can stock with wood for your group to have a bonfire and enjoy an outdoor evening of music, s'mores, and more.

Equipment Available

Conference equipment available includes: LCD projector, VCR/TV/DVD, slide projector and screen, overhead projector, PA systems, easels, portable electric piano, and fax.  WiFi is available throughout Claiborne Hall, Bishops Hall, the Library building, and Walker House..
